Evergreen content
Definition
Evergreen content is designed to remain relevant indefinitely. In other words, evergreen content is not time-sensitive in the sense of being tied to a particular event or promotion. This makes evergreen content ideal for recycling or repurposing on social media, but it also means that this kind of content generally requires more time and effort to develop. In order to remain relevant over the long term, evergreen content needs to be comprehensive in covering its subject matter in addition to being optimized for search traffic.
When done correctly, evergreen content should generate more traffic in the weeks and months after its initial posting and promotion cycle. This is in contrast to most other forms of content, where the majority of traffic is generated when they are first published and promoted.
